Apart from general orthopedic care, some of the different specializations that might be found within a orthopedic clinic are: knee, foot and ankle, hand, wrist and elbow, shoulder, hip, neck and back, joint replacement and reconstruction, cartilage repair and restoration, sports medicine and fracture care.

Having all these practices together in one place is a great way to keep their knowledge and expertise concentrated and makes it convenient for the patients, as well as becoming a known place for this type of treatment, without having offices scattered across the city.

Another specialized orthopedic practice is an orthopedic hospital. This is a center where surgeries can be performed, even very difficult ones. Orthopedic hospitals also provide rehabilitation services. This means that after a sports injury or other problem that requires surgery, a person can be operated on in this type of hospital and, after their stay has ended, can receive therapy at the same location.

The time in a person's life when they need to see an orthopedic doctor or surgeon is definitely not the highlight of their life. During these difficult times, it is nice for the patient to come to an organized clinic where they can receive all the help that they need from well qualified professionals. An orthopedic hospital also offers many of the same conveniences for those going through this unpleasant time of life. Anything that can make their treatment simpler is well appreciated, and a orthopedic clinic or hospital certainly does that.
